The case for honest wood

A table is the longest-lived piece in the room

Cushions wear out. Fabric fades. But a solid-wood dining table outlives houses. We build ours from kiln-dried solid walnut or white oak, with breadboard ends that allow seasonal movement, and traditional wedged through-tenon construction on the trestle bases.

Entryway benches — 1.0 m to 1.8 m, with or without upholstered cushion
Console tables — behind-the-sofa or hallway, 1.4 m to 2.2 m
Dining tables — round, rectangular or live-edge, 1.6 m to 3.2 m
Coffee tables — low slab, plinth-base or curved-leg
