These terms apply to every commission accepted by Yottabit Bespoke Sdn Bhd (Company No. 1156342-A). They form a contract between us once you sign off our drawings and pay the agreed deposit.
Quotations are valid for 30 calendar days from the date issued. Prices are in Malaysian Ringgit and include 8% Sales & Service Tax where applicable. Quotes itemise the frame, foam, labour, cover, finishing and delivery so you can see what you are paying for.
Drawings (1:20 elevations, dimensioned plans, fabric and finish board) are produced after the initial studio conversation. Up to three rounds of revisions are included free; further revisions are billed at RM 280 per hour of studio time, agreed in writing in advance.
Production begins only after (a) you have signed off the drawings and material selections in writing or by email, and (b) you have paid a 50% deposit. Until both conditions are satisfied, your slot in the workshop schedule is not booked.
Typical lead times are stated on the quotation. Residential commissions usually take 6 to 10 weeks from approval to delivery; hospitality projects 12 to 16 weeks. We give you a target delivery date in writing on the day production begins and notify you immediately if anything threatens that date.
Once production has begun, changes to dimensions, materials or finishes are sometimes possible but always re-quoted in writing before we proceed. If you cancel after production has begun, the deposit is non-refundable to the extent of work and materials already committed; we will provide an honest breakdown.
The balance is invoiced when production is complete and is payable before delivery is scheduled. White-glove two-person delivery is included within the Klang Valley. Delivery elsewhere in Peninsular Malaysia is a flat fee stated on the quotation; East Malaysia is quoted on freight cost. You are responsible for ensuring access (lift size, doorway widths, stair clearances) is sufficient; if our team arrives and access is genuinely impossible, a redelivery fee may apply.
You should inspect each piece on delivery and note any visible defects on the delivery sheet. Manufacturing defects discovered later are covered under warranty — see clause 9. Minor variations in wood grain, knot pattern, fabric weave and natural-fibre colour are inherent to handmade work and are not defects.
Title to the piece transfers to you when the balance has been paid in full and the piece has been delivered. Risk transfers on delivery.
We warrant the following against manufacturing defects, beginning on the date of delivery:
Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accident, pets, sharp objects, water or fire, exposure to direct sunlight for prolonged periods, or normal wear. Customer-supplied fabric (COM) is not warranted by us.
We re-cover, re-foam and refurbish our own pieces at any age, on a cost-plus basis. Bring the piece back to the atelier or arrange collection — we will quote.
Our total liability for any claim arising under or in connection with a commission is limited to the price actually paid by you for the commission in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Selangor.
